Shelton Petroleum is a partner in Sweden-Ukraine Business Forum where Foreign Minister Carl Bildt is keynote speaker

Shelton Petroleum participates as a partner in the Sweden – Ukraine Business Forum in Kiev on 4 – 5 June. The event is arranged by Business Sweden and the Swedish Embassy in Kiev with the purpose to demonstrate Sweden’s support to the people of Ukraine and to promote increased trade with the country. Foreign Minister Carl Bildt will speak at the opening dinner reception. The newly elected mayor of Kiev, Vitali Klitschko, and the Minister of Energy, Yuriy Prodan will also participate in the Business Forum. In addition to Shelton Petroleum other participants are Ericsson, SEB, Scania and Oriflame.

Ukraine strives for closer economical and political ties with the EU and a trade agreement is planned to be signed this summer. EU has one-sidedly already effected part of the deep and comprehensive trade agreement, something that will facilitate cross-border mobility for goods and services between the EU countries and Ukraine.

“We are confident that Ukraine is a market with great potential and that the situation today offers good opportunities for those companies that are prepared to invest in the country, not least within the energy sector. Ukraine as a nation must increase its production of oil and gas and this creates business opportunities for Shelton Petroleum”, says Robert Karlsson, CEO of Shelton Petroleum.

The Ukrainian government is currently implementing structural reforms to modernize the economy and to strengthen the democratic institutions. In addition increased financial support from EU and other international organizations, such as the IMF, the World Bank, the EBRD and EIB, will lead to increased financial stability and new business opportunities.
